As Colette Williams mentioned in her New Year e-mail, we now have a new abbreviated HTML format for bid match results. The abbreviated format
displays the first 512 characters of a bid match and then provides a URL link to the complete article, which resides on Softshare iSearch.
The purpose of this new format is to offer those clients that regularly receive very large bid match e-mails a more manageable alternative. By abbreviating the bid match article, high-volume clients will be able to navigate more easily through their bid match results. Also, for those clients whose e-mail applications either truncate or reject messages due to size, the abbreviated format provides an easy workaround to this problem.
With the addition of the new abbreviated HTML bid match format, there are two other bid match formats for you to choose from:
You don't need to commit to a single bid match format for all of your clients—you can designate different formats for different clients. E-mail profiles@softshare.com if you have any profiles that you would like to convert to the new HTML abbreviated format.
