They're called meeting minutes, but Softshare has already spent hours with the newly formed Softshare Technical Advisory Committee (STAC). First introduced in the September issue of Softshare Times, this self-organized committee is made up of several members of the SBDC and PTAC community. The committee's goal is to provide ideas and feedback on how to continue to enhance the Softshare 'CATS product suite.
So far, Softshare has met twice with the STAC (via conference call) and already, they're helping us identify concerns and features important to all of you. You can thank the committee for the enhanced duplicate-checking features you'll see in the next release of WebCATS and, even more exciting, the ability to store documents and files as client record attachments (coming early next year).
But it's not all fun and glory for the STAC. Already, we've assigned them homework; each committee member has to come up with a wish-list of reports that would be beneficial to their center and other centers. We'll keep you posted on their progress!
