Recently, SBA announced that capital infusion data was an EDMIS requirement for fiscal year 2008. No problem! Softshare will provide you with a new version of WinCATS in early January to put your program into compliance with this new mandate.
That was easy; so what’s there to be confused about? Unfortunately, SBA has also announced that it would like to retroactively upload your capital infusion numbers for 2007 (before the end of this fiscal year), and therein lies much confusion. There is no way for you to upload this data via your current version of WinCATS, and the new version won’t be ready until January.
This means that Softshare would have to provide this data to SBA on your behalf. We’ve been talking with SBA to see if/how/when this would happen, but as of now, we still do not have any concrete information to go on. As soon as we have more details from SBA, we will let you know. In the meantime, we want to assure you that we will not provide any information to SBA without first getting your express permission.
