Karen’s Column: Please Include Softshare Account ID and Client ID in Profiling Requests
I have a simple request for this column. If you e-mail me via your personal e-mail address (rather than through the WebCATS software), please include the following pieces of information:
- Your Softshare account number. Although I know many of you by name, sometimes my brain fails me and I can’t remember who belongs to which center or which center belongs to which Softshare account number. If you don’t know what your center’s Softshare account number is, it’s easy to find. Anywhere that your center name is displayed in WebCATS, you can click on it to view the read-only version of the center record. Find the Softshare Account field and the number displayed there is your Softshare mailbox number.
- Client IDs. For each client’s profile that you’re contacting me about, please include the client’s ID. This is what I use to identify profiles on my end; unfortunately, I don’t have access to company names. If I receive a company name only, I have to delay edits until I hear back from you with the client ID.
By including these two pieces of identifying information, you’ll save me a lot of time. Which means I’ll be able to get to your profile requests faster. It’s win-win!
