Last year, Softshare provided hundreds of hours of support on the new EDMIS system. And we didn't mind one bit! EDMIS was one giant group effort and it was important that all of us (Softshare and SBA-sponsored centers alike) get hands-on experience with the new system.
For Softshare, this hands-on experience included performing EDMIS exports on the behalf of several programs, either due to technical issues or very sluggish Internet connectivity. We're happy to continue providing this service for programs that need it, but because of the internal Softshare resources that EDMIS exports require, we'll be charging $150 per hour for all future exports that we perform. This fee includes the creation of EDMIS export files and their upload to EDMIS, but any errors in the data that are noted by WinCATS or EDMIS should, if at all possible, remain the program's responsibility to correct. If it is absolutely necessary, Softshare can assist with troubleshooting errors (for the same $150/hour fee), but only with the understanding that we cannot be held responsible for any data errors accidentally introduced by our staff.
This fee only applies to the performance of exports. As always, our top-notch support is available to you to answer questions and resolve issues at no charge. Thank you for your understanding.
