Client Merlin Removal from WinCATS

In July 2006, Softshare is releasing a new Softshare 'CATS build. This build will have a bunch of great new features including a customizable Client Merlin, integration with Microsoft Outlook's calendar for follow-up counseling tracking, and even mailing label reports in WebCATS!

You'll hear all about the new features and enhancements of this build in the coming weeks, but for right now, we wanted to warn you that this build will also bring about the removal of the Client Merlin from WinCATS. We apologize to those of you who still prefer WinCATS for your day-to-day data entry activities, but as discussed in the November 2005 issue of Times, the roles of WinCATS and WebCATS are diverging. In order to concentrate on the core competencies of each product, Softshare is continuing to define WebCATS as a data entry interface and WinCATS as a database administration tool.
